How to receive calls on VuwaniTalk
How incoming calls work, what you need to receive them, and the best connection to use so you never miss a call.
People can call you on your VuwaniTalk number
Once you have a dedicated number (a DID), friends and family can call you on it just like any other number. The call rings in your VuwaniTalk app, and you answer from there. See How to request your own number to get one.
What you need to receive a call
- A dedicated number assigned to your account.
- The VuwaniTalk app open and logged in on your device.
- A working internet connection (Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G) with notifications enabled.
Why an incoming call might not ring
If a call is not ringing, the usual reasons are a poor internet connection or notifications being switched off for the app. Double-check your connection, make sure call and notification permissions are allowed, and keep the app running. For general connection tips, see Improving call quality.
Using your number with your network
Some users link their VuwaniTalk number to a network operator so calls can reach them even without the app open. This varies by provider and region, so check with your operator or contact support if you want to explore that setup.
