How to improve VuwaniTalk call quality
Practical steps to fix poor audio, dropouts or delays on your calls, starting with your internet connection.
Most call quality problems start with your connection
VuwaniTalk routes your voice over the internet, so your connection is almost always the deciding factor in call quality. Before anything else, check your signal and speed.
The quick fixes
- Use Wi-Fi where possible: A strong, stable Wi-Fi connection usually beats mobile data for voice calls.
- Move to a better signal: On 4G or 5G, standing near a window or in a clearer area reduces dropouts.
- Close heavy apps: Streaming, downloads and large uploads compete for bandwidth. Pause them during a call.
- Restart your router: If calls are consistently bad at home, a quick router reset often helps.
- Use headphones or put the phone to your ear: Speakerphone can cause echo and make audio harder for both sides.
VuwaniTalk voice technology
VuwaniTalk uses HD voice (the Opus codec), noise cancellation and other optimisations to keep calls clear even on modest connections. These features work best when your bandwidth is not being squeezed by other activity.
