How to make a call in VuwaniTalk
Three simple ways to place a call from the app, plus tips on what to do if a call will not connect.
Three ways to call
- Dial pad: Open the dial pad, enter the full number including the country code, and press the call button.
- Contacts: Pick someone from your on-device contacts. VuwaniTalk respects your privacy — it reads the number locally but never uploads your contact list.
- Call log: Tap a recent call to quickly call a number again.
Before you call
Make sure you have enough balance for the call and a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G). If your balance is low, the app may ask you to top up before connecting. You can always check the rate for a destination first on the Rates page.
In-call controls
While you are on a call you can use the speaker, mute your microphone, or put the call on hold. VuwaniTalk uses HD voice (Opus codec) for clear audio and includes noise cancellation so background noise is reduced.
What if the call will not connect?
A call usually fails because of a poor connection, low balance, or an incorrectly formatted number. Double-check the full international number with country code, and make sure you are on a steady connection. For a deeper look, read Why a call will not connect and Improving call quality.
