VuwaniTalk payment methods explained

Compare PayPal, Paystack card payments, Apple In-App Purchase and OTT vouchers so you can choose the one that suits you.

Your payment options at a glance

VuwaniTalk gives you a few ways to add credit, so you can pick whatever is most convenient and whatever works in your country.

PayPal

PayPal works well if you already have a PayPal account or are paying from abroad. You can pay with your PayPal balance or a linked card.

Paystack (debit / credit card)

Paystack processes card payments directly and, importantly, supports several African currencies including South African Rand (ZAR), Nigerian Naira (NGN), Ghanaian Cedi (GHS), Kenyan Shilling (KES) and Egyptian Pound (EGP). This makes it the easiest option for users in Africa.

Apple In-App Purchase

On iOS you can top up using Apple In-App Purchase, which uses the payment method linked to your Apple ID.

OTT vouchers

For users in South Africa, prepaid scratch-card vouchers are an option. You scratch the card to reveal a code and redeem it in the app. See Using an OTT voucher.

Which method should I use?

If you are paying with a card from an African bank, Paystack is usually your best bet because it understands local currencies. If you already use PayPal or Apple Pay, those are just as quick. Every method adds credit instantly once the payment is confirmed.
