How to use an OTT voucher on VuwaniTalk
How South African prepaid scratch-card vouchers work and how to redeem the code in your app to add credit.
What is an OTT voucher?
An OTT voucher is a prepaid scratch card, sold in South Africa, that holds a set amount of calling credit. It is a handy way to buy credit with cash at a retail store rather than using a bank card online.
How to redeem it
- Buy an OTT voucher and gently scratch off the panel to reveal the code.
- Open the VuwaniTalk app and go to the voucher or top-up section.
- Enter the voucher code exactly as shown, then confirm.
- The credit is added to your balance once the code is validated.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Enter the code with no extra spaces, and be careful with characters that look alike (like the letter O and the number zero).
- Keep the scratch card until the credit is confirmed in your balance.
- If the code is rejected or shows as already used, contact support with a photo of the card so we can check it for you.
